The Association is concerned both with the recuperation of historic memory and with providing a cultural and social programme for Members.

We now produce two newsletters per year: six have so far been produced which you can view on this website. They contain not only reports of various activities and listings of future events, but also book reviews and articles written by Members.

Membership subscription and donations help to fund the costs of collecting, cataloguing and exhibiting archival materials, together with supporting our other projects, such as commemorative plaques.

Joining the Association

Membership is open to all who through family or interest wish to become part of our Association.

The membership year runs from 21st May to 20th May the following year (the anniversary of the voyage of the Habana).

Subscription is free for niños and their spouses/partners. Ordinary membership is £10 per year and Institutional membership is £25 per year.

You may pay by cheque made payable to Basque Children of ’37 Association UK, or, by standing order.

Gift Aid. If you are a UK tax payer (either income tax or Capital Gains Tax) then this is an easy way to help us raise money, without any cost to you. If you fill in and return the Gift Aid form, then we can claim back 28p from the government for every £1 that we receive from you in either subscriptions or donations. It does not affect your tax status in any way. The form only needs to be completed once. Any queries about Gift Aid please contact membership@basquechildren.org.
